Overdraft and fees
Anyone started a overdraft in last 6 months and mind saying what rate they paying and set up fees?
1st bank i got Quote: from says 5.5% over base and 1.5% fee.
Seems harsh...:undecided:
Just wondering what sort of rate I should be ...

I completely understand what is going on and what TD Bank is doing is technically legal, BUT it will eventually catch up to them. I had a checking account with another bank for 10 years and within those 10 years I never overdrafted-NEVER! I love how when...

If you're very well how to avoid overdraft fees (thanks for your lesson), but unless you have extra 1000's in the bank there's no avoiding ....
When you do not have it and I guarantee you will have overdraft fees there too.

I've been charged one of these "overdraft arrangement fees" by HSBC. This appears to be because I reduced my overdraft limit recently. I now realise the fee is in their T&Cs but the problem is a bit more complicated.

If you google for hsbc 25 overdraft admin fee you+Cs I would think it reasonable to request they waive the fee as the overdraft limit change involved for bank staff when changing....
Application and the fee was not mentioned.

Received a letter from Santander today saying that they are increasing my arranged overdraft fee from 50p a day to £1 a day up to a maximum of 20 days.
When it was Alliance and Leicester it was a flat £5 fee per month then less than a year ago when Santander...

This is not right!!! They should be required to run transactions .
The poor person! instead of one bank fee they are charged 5 or 6 bank fees for the smaller charges transactions are hit with the $29.00 fee.
