My 2006 Nissan Pathfinder seems to be missing a hose out of the coolant overflow tank. I cannot get a definitive answer as to if this is by design or if i need to run a hose. I have a picture of the engine that i will attach here. Its the hose connector...

From what I found, there is one hose off the top (which you have) and one off the bottom, the nipple by the cap should have a plug on it, no hose! Thank you!! So when you say the nipple by the cap there with no hose an that is how....

I wedged hose 45 between the gas tank and the bodywork you route hose 10 from the reservoir....
I suggest you route hose 10 from the reservoir in a loop so that heavy braking does not drain the reservoir and make a mess under the car.

If it's coming out of the overflow tube, the problem.
The overflow tube is cracked?....the nipple on the neck of the rad is cracked? Leaks usually are seen reasonably close to where they occur.

Source(s): 20B FC RX7 owner Most likely you have a blown head gasket .
This issue a leaking heater hose.
If it is puking coolant out of the overflow bottle, you've got a ton of air in the system.

I had my hose do the same.
If you remove the passenger side wheel and then remove the plastic fender bit I think you'll arrive at the tank .
Later model 201/126s overflow tank is in the fender.
