I want to get an overland rig, but not sure what car to start with. Most people say go with a car like the Land Cruiser, or Discovery, but those are pretty big gas hogs, and too large for my liking. Plus parking is a bit of a hassle I would think. My ...

I used to drive my regular cab shortbed mini truck all over the southwest.
If thats too big and expensive, get a 4runner or a truck.
With an 80 series cruiser.
