Here is my question:
How many oz should a BF baby be taking at 2 weeks old?
Background:
At only 2 weeks old she is taking in 3oz (drying the bottle) every 2.5-3 hours. That just sounds like a lot to me. Today I offered 3.5 oz and I'm hoping...

3 oz is probably more than "average", but it's not so if it's not happening - just feed....

Still confused about Nature's Variety feeding guide (raw) According to the guide, my 65 lb shepherd only needs 12.9 oz a day. When other brands require around 17-20 oz. that's a substantial difference. Can anyone shed a light on this. If that's the case...

For a 65 lb dog 17-20oz sounds right on target .
Huskies get about 14 oz per day.

So I'm heading back to work, I EBF, and was curious...How many oz on average does your 3 month old eat in a feeding?? Im trying to get the bottles prepared for DH so its a little easier on him. I haven't really given a whole feeding to DS with a bottle...

She is there about nine hours.
I think it is estimated at 1 oz per hour or something like that and that is about what reuses the milk for the next feeding.

For most babies, that means they eat about 1 oz per hour and then around....
My LO takes 9-12 oz at daycare (in 3 oz bottles max out and stick to 24-30 oz per day.
I hope there is truth to this.

ETA: The morning pump is after he and get 3-5 ....
per session (total.) LO eats 5-6 oz per feeding so he's outpacing me by a little each feeding session, which would result in less milk per session.

Just curious. My DD has drank 3 oz with DH @most from bottle @ a time but that was after going 8 hrs @ daycare n drinking 1 1/2 oz total!! Just curious because I've been pumping a lot more since returning to work. But may have an oversupply now. Ugh!!...

4-6 oz per bottle 3 oz every 2-3 hrs 4 to 5 oz every 3 from one side per feeding unless she is going threw a growth spurt.
I estimate he's getting between 25-30 oz / day.

I have been feeding canola oil to my horses for years but have never quite figured out how to clean feed pans or buckets afterwards. I was wondering if anyone has a good method for feeding the grain with oil or cleaning the buckets? Even with good ol'...

Been feeding several oz per day per head of cocosoya daily for several years now, and for reasons is much easier than cleaning a 40 gallon feed tub.

DD is 3 months and has been taking 4oz by bottle while I'm at work. DH and the babysitter have made comments that DD wants more and that I need to increase the bottles to 5oz. I thought BF babies weren't supposed to take more than 4oz per feeding.

Are they sure that it is hunger cues bottle at each feeding and they asked if I wanted them to give her 5 oz instead.

I know many of our LO's have a tube of some sort. Many of us are also members of the Feeding tube board here on BBC,which has been a great resource and brought many of us together here. In anycase, I think feeding tubes are an appropriate topic for us...
