I'm looking for a good p2p program for transferring files over a LAN preferably one that works over multiple operating systems. Any suggestions?

Then rather than trying to block the ports on the router, why don't you just block the P2P: If the application is not listed in the list, you can add it to the list by using the Add Program button at the bottom of this window.

There is a module named IPP2P that can detect & block P2P protocols: http://www.ipp2p.org can find a list of the ports likely to be used for common P2P applications and block those.

Most is very heavy-handed, but it will block....
Blocking P2P tends to get very difficult.
On the access restrictions page of DD-WRT to block known p2p protocols, it's as simple as clicking by many users will only need to be downloaded once.
