Hello, does any one know how to get the current motherboard, processor or HD temperature statistics?
In GNU/Linux, I know I could use something like hddtemp or sensord to get the info, and then parse it... but in Windows: How can I do this? And, Can it...

This is the cause for windows bluescreening and there is not really a way round it other then re-installing windows .
You have encountered the main problem with changing motherboards, the disk controller being different.

I would love to have a central place where information about all PC parts are kept. Even better if the whole database can be downloaded as CSV and analysed using R or SAS.

I am replacing an old motherboard with 6 PCI slots attached with 6 PCI fax cards.
Form factor is ATX.
Anybody know which brand/model I can purchase with that many slots?
Or is there an alternative?
