Having problems with my x fi sound card with squeeling in games etc (i am also still having problems with manual vcore overclocking if anybody has a fix for that as well) anyway ive read that if i adjust the pci latency it will solve the squeeling but...

So a BLCK 100 is very important.
BLCK = 100?
The EVGA P67/Z68 boards cannot overclock over BLCK, without making problems on the pcie devices .

Z77 has a total of 16 pci-e with decent aircooling should be doable....
Each pci-e, if there's enough available lines, will work at it's rated speed: a modern gpu will run at 16x @ 2.0, most raid cards runs on 4x and the high stuff at 8x.

When I switched to low latency vsync, I got a sound problem:

I've always used PCI cards so I dont see the issues Firewire....
I can add all the plugins I want to playback tracks and I have no audiable latency tracking.
The firewire latency isnt compensated
for like it is with a PCI card.
