I just bought an older chevelle and it has good original paint, but what would it cost to just put different color paint over it. Any cheaper this way or no?

When you pay for a paint job you are paying for labor.
You can shows and turned plenty of heads.
A nice paint job, he might've taken it there and the value of it would've gone way down.

I already have the metalic blue and sliver paint for the car but since winter is just about here and i plan on driving the car threw the winter i didnt want salt on the fresh paint .i decided to do the ultimate budget paint job on it till the summer/springtime...

Even with the right paint if things are moved around on it long enough it's going to get scratched up, paint makes ....
You used the wrong type paint for one.
You never apply a sealer over paint, the paint is the sealer.
