Painting my car and I need lots of help please! So my 240, as some of you know, is going under the knife this summer and I'm starting off with a paint job. I've decided on a midnight purple (LP2) but I can't seem to find a color like it ANYWHERE online...

Ask your painter if his paint job includes a wet NOOOO idea about painting a car and he's going to get all he can out of me.
Work while wet sanding and buffing the car out.

Just wondering if you kept a car in mint condition but needed to respray the entire car the same colour due to stone chip marks and light scratches all over body that couldn't be removed by compound, would the spray painting job be any dearer or cheaper...

What is best, spraying a car piece by piece, doors, bonnet, boot, bumpers or the whole car at once.

Might considerReally depends on how big your compressor is and how much room you have to maneouver round the car with the doors open? and spraying....
I'd just remove the doors, if you want a good paint job, strip the car.
Everything.

I see more and more pics of so called Pro painters rolling things that I was always taught to use a brush on. Not even foam rollers, but fiber/fabric. Was just on a website and the first pic had a mini roller painting the vertical wood, 1x4 - corner trim...

Don't bother with halford high temp engine paint tis rubbish
try a engine enamel, should last much apply straight to the block tho? No primer? yes engine lacquer wont need primer just paint it.
