Just came back from Hard Rock/Palace in Punta Cana . Went to the "talk" for the spa credit. Turns out a new company, Legendary, is taking over the Punta Cana resort, Cancun Palace,Aventura Spa, Vallarta palace and turning them in to Hard Rocks by March...

It common to all the resorts...Palace and Hard Rock both...nothing changes with their contracts and benefits, it is just the new name....
Palace members who signed up before 2012 will still be able to use the Hard Rock resorts.

This is our first trip to Punta Cana and the Hard Rock, we are long time Palace members and I read lots of reviews and asked tons of questions! long flight for us compared to Cancun but wanted to give the HR a try Landed about 330, customs was total mayhem...

Seemed lovely, much bigger then a typical Palace resort room, nice view of the mini golf.

Can't help you on the Sun Palace bed situation but I would recommend you look into Cancun Palace or Beach Palace , both located in the hotel zone instead of Moon Palace....much better beach/ocean and way better location.

Mid about 11:30am, flight arrived....
Edited: 12:16 pm, yesterday We too are going to Sun Palace and emailed the resort will be the occupancy level? Sun Palace is harder to project due to no kids allowed in the first place.
Show up in May.

If you are not tied to Palace resorts....
It has to be Palace Resort though, due to my DH's to the Adventura but understood it also does not have a sandy beach.
That's why I'm looking into some other Palace Resorts.

There are so many of you on this forum who seem to know so much of the area. My wife and I are going to the "Cancun Area" mid Feb 2012. I say area because we have plane tickets but are using an RCI time share and have yet to pick which resort to go to...

#2 Beach Palace : also nice ....
Beach, accommodations and service is consistant at all Palace resort properties.
I personally think you should look into Beach Palace or Moon Palace.
Not want to leave the resort.
