There is no option I know of because you have to tap on the screen on a Z22 to start hotsync.

Does the Z22 have a secret function or secure password facility ? if not which Palm Pocket Viewer does? I want to buy as a gift for elderly person to remember passwords!

Search Palm's Knowledge Library and your User Guide (on the install CD).

My Z22 works OK until I try to access a date of November 28, 2011 or later, at which point it freezes, and I have to reset it. I loaded Palm OS version 6.22, which is the latest I could find for the Z22, but that didn't help. Can I keep using the thing...

First thing to try is to set the DateBook coduit in Palm Desktop.
Sounds like a corrupt database.

I have a Zire 21 which served the function well (cheap and simple)
but it died on me within 3 months.
I'm willing to give it a go again with Palm because I like
Z22 design. But how about the reliability?

But...the Z22 only has a 90 day warranty at a cost...or for $50 (yikes!....
I don't own a Z22 and so cannot speak for help from Z22 owners than from owners of other handhelds.

I had a Z22 and its data was also backed up on computer under My name.
I bought a new Z22 which i syncronized with my data on computer.
Now I want to give my older Z22 to my Wife and sync...

You should be using the version included on the CD... .
Which one should I use.
Moreover, I notice that the Palm Desktop (4.2.2) comes from the disc is newer than the lastest version that can be download on the Palm official site.
