Door panels: Are inserts removable? As indicated in other threads, I'm looking to two-tone my interior. To save a few bucks, I'd like to source some parts off wrecked Passats.
Are the door panels two parts? Are the inserts removable?

You and it took hours per panel....
In other words, it is MELTED together.

I think the door panel insert's matchingOn trdsource's site they have two different kinds of inserts available, one for doors with inserts the body is a little too much....
Actually, I prefer them this way.
Are completely black.

THinking of wrapping the door inserts (I have black interior with Glossy black trim), I was thinking glossy black or matte black

Just checked out 6LE and saw they had the pre cut inserts, but are kinda pricey at $200, but they look real nice. i know i could go to a crafts store and pick up another type of material to cover the existing one but im not too sure how difficult it is...

Every S-351 I have seen has the painted inserts.
Its a 1994 in 1999 or 2000 for sure...
My S 351 does not have painted door panel inserts.
