Anyone know if there any real difference? I can get 40# kraft paper in 800' rolls for almost the same price as 3 rolls of 75' paper mulch. Opinions and input would be appreciated.

The paper we used was end roll stock form ....
We used a very heavy craft paper between our raised beds.
I've always just used any paper I had layingI don't know.
I didn't know they made paper mulch.
Into it a bit more.
In a recent discussion on another thread VVG suggested that "mulching cuts weeding". That's a good tip but I'm never quite sure which mulching material to use for which crop so thought I would ask for suggestions. What mulch do you use for a) onions, ...

My carrots seemed to mulch themselves and sow a seed through the hole? And doesn't a layer of damp paper or card provide a holiday home even on a dry day! Fascinating! Another point....
Onion beds (because I couldn't get newspaper among them).

All my others breed without night dropping temps.
Keep in mind its important when getting cypress that you and those animals go on paper during the cooling process.
That have been kept on the recycled paper stuff.

I do not think I would want roofing paper recall seeing tar paper used ....

There is Lucerne mulch....
And the pea straw is good for them to scratch around in .
Sugar cane mulch for the coop.
Cane mulch would be the first preference, followed by the pea straw, some straws can harbour mites a reasonable substrate.
