You can see the changes I had to make to get Parallels Tools to compile for Chakra (2.6.39) over if that is because of something to do with Parallels Tools of because I am using Alpha software.

Tools for BackTrack5 release next week
Anyone know if the new version of Backtrack, version 5, set for release next week, will be supported by Parallels Tools. Seems the new version is based on Ubuntu 10.04LTS. Any speculations, or ideas?

When I first ran Virtual Machines | Install Parallels Tools it didn't properly mount the cdrom, and I was getting permission errors.
And then loaded the Parallels Tools from Build 6.0.12094.

Yes, it is working in general.
Thanks, YanaYana.
Different issues may be caused by the incorrect installation of Parallels Tools - tool itself is to reinstall Parallels Tools.

You will already have the kernel sources....
Just worked for me.
Do a "yum install kernel" when logged in as root, reboot, and try to run the installer again .
That "reply" didn't help me one bit.

Cheers for your feedback! Darn - switching....
I would appreciate any help.
It's a clean, new install with Parallels 7.0.15054.
An update, it was a big worry that the re-installation of Parallels Tools would break the system same crash.

I am unable to copy and paste from the host to the VM and vice versa. This is really annoying, any ideas?
