how do I install Parallels Tools in Ubuntu 12? When I click in the parallels menu on "install Parallels tools" it tells me to type "sudo ./install" in the ubuntu terminal. If I do so, the terminal tells...

Parallels Tools Ubuntu 12.04
I have googled and googled but to no avail, but I have Parallels 7 and Ubuntu 12.04 and after 2 installs of the distro cannot get Parallels Tools to install.
I CD to media/Parallels\ Tools, run the installer with a sudo ....

I'm curious for all your Mac users out there which virtualization software you use and why? I've been a VM Ware user for Windows for years and have been running Parallels on my Mac (mainly because VM Ware was in Beta when I got Parallels).

The installation of xp stopped at less than halfway and i got a message that parallels tools had was surreal.
Box is a good virtualization tool, but rather barebones compared to VMware Fusion and Parallels similar.

I am running Parallels build 4.0.3384 (the latest at the time of writing), on Mac OS X 10.5.7, with Windows 7 RC1 as my VM
I am unable to copy and paste from the host to the VM and vice versa. This is really annoying, any ideas?

Closed parallels so the machine configuration saved to disk.
Do you have the Parallels Tools installed on the Windows machine?
Which copy/paste methods have; Features > Services
Then unchecked Share clipboard, then ok.

Something is clearly wrong with my setup but nothing I've tried seems to fix it. Whenever I launch Windows under Parallels, everything slows to a crawl. Windows is barely usable and even the Mac side slows down too. Same results on a 3ghz imac and 2.3...

Without its horrible
2 GB of RAM is in my oppinion to less to really work productive on both in parallel.
There are two very important things:
Install Parallel Tools inside you Virtual OS (from the Parallels menu).
