Give him tips like bringing toys, snacks, avoiding nap time trips, etc....Just encourage him.
So of the house too.
Or second guess him? He needs to be reminded that he is just as good of a parent as you are.

We just found out we're expecting #2 in September! This is very unexpected. We're excited but also very nervous because ds will be 20 months when the newb is here. Right now it's so easy for ds and I to get in the car and get outta the house for the day...

I actually had a lady say something....
Then when you try to help out, the parent makes you feel like an a$$hole, dropping comments.
