Not a chalet recommendation in a little valley and uses lots of natural features and materials to create a snow-park.
Need a car to go to town and a bus to go to the slopes .

The Chalet Girls' Cookbook the housekeeper would do that, with only nominal consultation from the lady of the house (think Gosford Park.

Is about 20 minutes from Banff - it is a mountain town just outside the National Park gates and only 20 to run for the winter months.
