Most of what we've discussed in this thread are $50K jobs. As the original question was about 'Highest Paying Jobs' I'm most interested in learning about jobs which pay $100K or more a year, which is roughly a steady $50/hr, 40 hours a week. Obviously...

As far as salary goes, you can see the OPM pay tables for the US government here: Salary are only cleared to secret....
I guess I frequently find myself worrying about being able to pay my bills with a degree and job government hiring).

I don't blame people for becoming....
It's the same old brain expected to work late hours with no overtime pay which consequently could add to work related stress.
Based jobs simply cannot compete with what US companies are willing to pay.

I got the degree for that reason, especially the 2-year business degree. The 4-year degree to satisfy that requirement of many employers.
Doesn't do much good though when your stretching your non-related degree to fit the "or related" requirement...

There are a ton of engineering jobs out there that pay those kind is the best job ....
Bodywork been working for over 2 years.
Get good at painting cars--there are always decent paying jobs in that.
And they make bank.

I love art, but I am very wary about making it into a career for myself. I was looking into industrial design and saw that the average salary in the US for an industrial designer was ~47k/yr. a Decent salary but not enough to support the lifestyle I want...

Also, by no means am I getting into art for the money, if I wanted to just have a job, especially since most artists will have tons of student loans to pay off, 47k isn't really enough to rent a decent apartment, pay....

Woody, I'm not a Student. I work in government, and have previously spent 6 years in food service, and a stint in transportation.
I just know a EMT, a Cop, a Firefighter, and plenty of soldiers.
