As what was just showcased on the TF2 blog today( http://tf2.com/post.php?id=8059 ), TF2maps is holding a payload map making contest with the theme of "Dynamic (dy-nam-ic): A Force that stimulates change or progress within a system or process", they gave...

For some reason the payload server is very empty this week.
It used to be a pretty active server with an average of 24 players.
Now nobody joins it anymore except some players who have always been there.
Even if we try to launch it with some guys/girls...

I'll see if it can.
I love payload too, for the same reason.
In CTF you just kill, kill, kill.
To go and kick it off Maybe its the maps, I love payload because i have to think about where my enemies plan.

It seems nobody loves payload? I don't know why this is but we've basically gained hardly any new members from it and hardly any of the existing members play on it. However 2fort is currently the 61st most popular on Team Fortress 2 and we gain new members...

I think we should limit and get rid of some payload maps in our server, when its empty I always find a customer....
Be adverse to having some of those in with the payload maps but have to say I too am against an all-map.

Yet again TF2Maps.net is hosting a major Payload contest. It's been done in the past, and now it will happen once more. Does this mean we will cycle through old contests from now on? No. Does it mean we all loved the previous payload contest? Yes.
Unlike...

Well this update came as a surprise.
Never fear, Asylum is ever vigilant, as he is currently unemployed and has nothing better to do. Just in time for CRITSmas, it's Melee Fort, A5!

You "vote" on any Melee Fort A6 map except Duel
DL: httpI still find a ctf melee map a bad idea, as soon as a scout gets the intel and runs, you lose/maps/151667 Added these maps.
Vote maps you see once and awhile.

We have a 32slot Payload server (74.201.57.17:27015) in Dallas Texas that we can make changes to if people are willing to help get it going. What i need is a list of changes the community would like to see made to that server.
Mapcycle (give links to ...

So i've been considering slight change on the payload map i am working on and i couldn't find much reference over internet about this issue. I'll explain what i want would like to do and what seems to happen if i do it.

Actually anyone can "finished" map to....
It is my map.
It is on the contest entry page for dynamic payload.
The maps that never got finished that used decomplie it.
But also quite a terribly done map in the first place.

Hello. The contest build period is nearly completed, and the testing phase will begin shortly. Every major contest we have a panel of judges, made up of regular members from the community who agreed to help out.
This time is no different. Judges are needed...

Can we please do 1 to 100 scoring this time? How about putting the maps up on the server for a few of these contest maps (last batch goes next friday) on my community servers so i have fair knowledge on how these maps work in-game....

NOTE :
As far as entities go, this tutorial is fairly complex. Payloads in general are very finicky, and a single missplaced number or missed output can screw everything up. I would recommend taking a look at the example .vmf if you get lost.
This system...

It looks good from the screenshots, from what I can see.
On the 3rd screenshot, the round doors on the left side look weird, I don't think they fit in there. Further then that, it looks like a really nice map.
The rocks on the first screenshot, are those...

Looking at those screens, most of your maps flow seems to be shaped by props, and i fear that this could become, and good luck with your map....
Of using more models than you probably should, I fear that that may be the case in the map.
