I recently took delivery of my 2005 s40 T5, it is a fantastic car in so many ways. But
My only isuue is that the brake pedal is about 1.5 inches higher/ closer than the accelerator pedal. This make it ery hard to quickly shift your foot from accelerator...

Calling Volvo to move the brake pedal back, but what you could do is move the accelerator pedal forward - that is, put a thicker pedal....

I'm going to do some research on this.
The clutch pedal is in a very nice position.

I got a po121 code in my 99 cummins. it's says a pedal position sensor. would i be safe in assuming it s the sensor or should i further diag it before buying a sensor? truck will stall while cruising down the road then come right back on. gotta drive ...

I would like to move the pedal position lower but I am already bottomed out on the master cylinder. I ride with my foot over the pedal and with it in the position it is in I tend to ride with the brake applied which in turn heats up and squeaks when applied...

The result was that the brake eventually back on the peg to cover the pedal....
I adjusted the pedal too low so that my boot could cover it, and the position of the piston then blocked the fluid return tube.
Yup, I have the same problem.

I hooked up a OBD2 tester on my 96 Probe GT today, because it was idling high and it threw 3 codes. One of them was P0120 TPS/Pedal Position Sensor A Circuit Malfuntion . Is that just saying the TPS is bad or is it different from the TPS? I was thrown...

What is the correct distance from the brake pedal to the cross member.
Depending on what one reads it can be 200mm 215mm or 225mm. If i set mine to 225mm then there is not enough adjustment in the push rod to give

In this position the arm of the pedal is pointing back towards was crushed putting the m/c in the wrong position relative to the pedal.
The same position as the clutch pedal.

No acceleration at all with the car to see that if car is responsive and out of probably 50 times pushing the pedal, not even once work this sensor all the way....
Few times before the reset and the car was not responding at all to the pedal.

At the moment it's mounted to the side of the pedal box on various adjusting slots but in order for it 'properly' in....
Cant help with a floor mounted dbw but how have you mounted your pedal at the mo as mine fitted this pedal to fit.
