(Not all performing arts high schools are made equally though.
With the other commentators, but with the addendum that I think if you go to a connected performing arts school your chances are indeed much higher.

Nothing springs to mind - you could use that as a way to get into a degree course in acting at a major drama school or university - but a BTEC doesn't really get you anywhere - it's not advanced enough. .
