Question about installing an interior perimeter drain to help dry out my basement. The house is about 30' x 40' with concrete block basement walls. The basement is completely unfinished, so there's nothing in the way except a load-bearing concrete block...

You simply, french drain....
It is not necessary to extend the interior perimeter drain underneath the block wall at the center.
A perimeter drain doesn't have.
At your interior wall and connect them through the doorway .

I saw a story on refinishing basements and they jackhammered out a drain around the perimeter of the basement then inserted this water diverter system to direct water to the sump.

It is no where equal to a true french drain system, half say another.
Your walls? VB , XPS, VB , studs?
Would that be exceptable, to cut a drain around perimeter in the cheap foundations common in the east.
