Do you get fraud orders with phone verification?
Can't say we've ever had anyone double charged because of the phone verification, but it certainly does cause problems sometimes. But then a quick manual phone call to the customer and you can easily set the order back to pending for them to pay. source
GMail requires mobile phone verification?
This sounds kind of weird, do you have to own a mobile phone, or will a standard telephone work. It is like they are making it harder for people without cell phones to have google accounts. source
Why does Google ask to send a verification to a mobile phone?
If you're trying to sign up for a Google Account, you may be asked to provide a mobile number to verify your identity. We'll send you a verification code via SMS, so make sure the phone you use has text-messaging capabilities. If you don't have a mobile phone and are prompted to enter your phone number, you may want to ask a friend if you can use his or her number to receive a code. source
Verify Phone Number?
Well, I think it is a really new company from its domain information or might be just a reseller for it still limits the web space. Of course, verify phone number might be normal practice these days. source
Why don't you ever pick up your phone?
I used to talk on the phone quite a bit when I was in college, but these days I prefer IM communications simply because I can drop in and out of the conversation at my liesure, instead of being restricted to the phone. Also, I can do a whole lot of other things while I talk online, whereas the phone forces me to focus solely on it and nothing else. I think part of why I switched was that when I was in college, I commuted an hour each way from my house, so I used those 2 hours in the car to talk to people. Now that I work out of my home, I have a whole variety of things to keep me occupied. source
