But I've never really read a book that taught me stuff, just gone out shooting.
In terms of inspiration I really like Alex Corporan's new book Full Bleed which has a ton of good NYC skate shots.

I'd say one of the best books I've ever read to help me understand the world of photography, is Best Business Practices For Photographer by John Harrington. The guy is a genius in business - which is 90% of professional photography.

One book I can recommend is Syl by looking through them at the book store and seeing if there is anything that grabs my attention.
Seen so far have been dealing with Photoshop more than photography.
