I think they beat video games in certain aspects.
1. you get to play your opponent in person
2. it's a great way to spend time with family and friends
3. some board games are just damn fun.

Is it possible to mount/unmount a physical hard drive in Windows XP?
Ideally, I'd like to be able to do this from the command line so that I could have batch files to do it, ie: mount.cmd unmount.cmd

If it actually writes to a file: since windows caches filesystem writes, I could imagine that simply writing, then deleting small... .
Pipeing output is possible in windows as well - if the executable generates output only to standard out, you can use that .

You could of course code your abstraction layer in asm - "might" (awful word for a developer) be faster .
