Amazon doesn't generally email you your CD-Key when you get a physical version (since you could have to get a digital download version if you want to play instantly, and I think Blizzard's store.

Is it possible to mount/unmount a physical hard drive in Windows XP?
Ideally, I'd like to be able to do this from the command line so that I could have batch files to do it, ie: mount.cmd unmount.cmd
Also, if the drives can be unmounted, will they spin...

Hope this helps....
Also can't say if the same ease of play would work laptop.
BUT I can hear the drive spinning from my listening position is quieter than mine, then you should have no problem .
Play and the CD plays with no problem.

This is premature optimization - maybe breaking a clean project-layout .
You could of course code your abstraction layer in asm - "might" (awful word for a developer) be faster .

I'm running VirtualBox on a Windows XP machine with 2GB RAM. I've created a virtual Ubuntu machine and allocated it a base memory of 750MB.
Just to put it to a test, I ran 20 things at once on the virtual machine. According to "top" in ubuntu, 750 megs...

With some virtualisation solutions under Linux, the way they allocate memory makes it appear to the host kernel as a special memory-mapped file (much like the /proc/kcore special file) so it is counted in the "cached" count in the output from free , not... .
