I've got a full pack (60 picks) of Dunlop Tortex yellow ones ( 0.71 ?). Very comfortable but ... that fucking clipping sound annoyed me ...

As for pick angle it's all what you prefer but you do I am using the Ernie Ball heavy ....
Although they are overpriced, I love them but now I can't use anything less than 1 mm .
I actually ended up trying those red bear picks.

Is it just me, or does it seem there are fewer available spots for rookies this year? Or is it just that this draft is so weak that it seems not many draft picks will actually stick? Perhaps a combination of the two...

I'd say mostly because of $$$ each team should be carrying one rookie/draft pick.
