You will be able to talk normal in a week .
Sleep with your head elevated.
But as its done now you have to think about the healing process

I was eating normally again until your tongue heals, maybe....
If you look after your piercing, it will be better in no time.
It's also perfectly fine for you to smoke, but treat it like with time .
Otherwise it can irritate the piercing.
