The diameter of the primer end this that give hunting a bad name and leads to more restrictions, closings of hunting areas, and a call from the scenario you are proposing....
Seems like a double barrel would be ideal for aerial hunting.

Course hunting them with a .45 can be challenging too.
Or a shotgun, they usually don't go very far.
They will definitely do the job hunting wild pigs.
A .22 is a 30.30 or 30.06.
I shoot feral hogs with an AK-47. Very reliable, plenty of stopping power, 30 round mag, and reasonably accurate.

If you just want to buy something new for pig hunting then by all means get a nice short barreled it will stop a pig.
See if you can guess what the condition is. a) Only on Sundays. b) Only at night. c) You have to use a flashlight. d) you can only use a bow and arrow. e) you have to be dressed like a giant chicken. If you guessed "All of the above", then Congratulations...

Hears of many people hunting is Chestnut Hunting lodge, it is located near Pisgah National forest.Try there you may get your delight.
Farm in Johnston county, it is located between Neuse river and mill creek .
Some coworkers and I are looking to do some pig hunting. The reason for FL or AZ is based on cheap flights to either place almost anytime. None of us have ever done any sort of pig hunting so all or any advice would be very helpful thanks. Oafey

Friends who hunt hogs do so on private property...agricultural lands there are guided hog hunts on private property for a fee.
