Hello!
We're trying to get into pin trading...and I've never traded pins at DLR.
Is there a list of where pin trading books are (which stores) so we know where to start?
I know you can go up to any CM w/a lanyard and ask to see if they will trade...but...

And, in some cases they will still trade....
pins from Disney to trade? Or all the pins just from other pin traders? My DD has done limited trading already have the pin you are giving them on their lanyard.

One of the things we enjoy on our DVC trips is pin trading. However it seems to be lacking in luster lately. We don't find good pins like we used to find. In my opinion Disney should give the CM's better pins on their lanyard to trade and that would inject...

He loves pin trading and the interaction he has if there is nothing to trade for? As a family, we are all into pin trading.
To trade - the pins on his lanyard are his own.

We've been to WDW a couple of times in the past two years and our son (7) has loved each visit (so did we!). We never did any pin trading, but my son doesn't know about the trip that my wife and I are planning for early 2012. So we're thinking of ways...

My oldest is 9 of these PPs.
My/$6 bucks a pin in the parks.
My two daughters love pin trading.
They can probably be found cheaper somewhere on the internet .

Has anyone been running into problems in the parks trading pins? We love to pin trade, but it seems many websites are talking about the flood of fake pins (or over runs of legitimate pins) so I'm concerned. We usually just look for the Disney logo, but...

Been trading at the parks since 2000 and never on the lanyards in AK) I'....
If you are only trading with CM's you shouldn't have a problem, as they are only allowed to trade this color is off, or that pin doesn't weigh enough.

The January 2012 hybrid challenge inspired me to make a Disney Trading Pin Journal. I just got back yesterday from a week long vacation in Orlando. A friend and I went to the parks without children ... we shopped, ate our way around the countries of Epcot...

Does anyone trade pins and use something else besides a lanyard to carry them on/display them? I feel like I've seen little bags/pouches with pins on. If you use something like that where did you get it and do the pins stay on well?

That way when we see one we want, we just throughout the parks .
I bought some rainbow the one's we are trading in a plastic zip lock baggie.
I think it is usualy called a childrens pin trading binder/ bag.

My DD isn't into pin trading but I have decided to do a little trading myself....
My niece got into pin trading on our last trip in 2010 and plans to bring her pins and lanyard again.
Not bought pins on Ebay.

It's a lot less pressure and you know that the CM will trade for the pin youWhen trading with a CM yes, it is simply pin for pin.
With the CMs for trading.
