Just a quick Sanity check here.
Can you ping a specific port of a machine and if so in the answer can you provide an example?
Im a looking for something like ping ip address portNum

I'm feeling lucky on google for “pingYou can't ping ports, as Ping is using ICMP which doesn't have the concept of ports itself.
The ICMP protocol, which doesn't even have a conecpt of ports .

To shed some light:
When you can't ping tried yet to clean out possible clutter in an easy way.
The MAC address table get "confused" for lack of a better term .

I am going to try the US servers as an EU player (just for fun.. nothing to discuss here please) i got a ping around 120 ms wihtout any peaks or whatever (tried for like 60 min standing in the auction house of us-illidan).

Apparently the iCloud connection is drawing an almost-constant 1kbps, either pinging or doing something similar (or at the very least, checking available iCloud space when you go into settings).
