The cost is extreme, if my plane crashes....
Period.
I dont fly....

The only survival gear you need on a plane is a good first aid kit, think more of a trauma kit in the plane...

I'm looking for a good used metal shoulder plane or a kit to build one. I see there is a company in England that has a kit for a small shoulder plane, but I don't think there are any available.
Can anyone help me out?
Thanks,
Chris

I understand your interest in making one.
You might want to try the LV large plane if you are thinking of going with a Stanley.
LV makes a great shoulder plane, I have the medium and love it.
Impressed.

Never missing parts or wrong parts..
I've built 5 of their kits without any real problem...
I've never had any big issues with their kits, that sounds like some bad luck to me.
