Had a diff bearing go out, replaced everything, come to put axle planetary together and timing marks are gone on the 3 gears but not on the axle shaft (white paint dots), is there a way to time it? or is it even that
important...

It was recommended to mark them when confusion over this due a lot to the need to time the planetary gears in the mechanical TA's.

Hi!
All planetary hubs without coaster brake that I have ever seen used
the axle for reaction torque when in any gear other than 1:1, leading
eventually to axle nuts that got to be hard to move when fixing a flat
tire. Ugh.
