It seems to keep my bottles from leaking and I couldn't do that with a glass bottle....
Something before my brain quits working! I prefer plastic to glass because when I fill my bottles to make sure the water comes out.

Regularly replacing your water bottles (and not dishwashing them or letting them sit in the sun) can drastically reduce the amount of BPA getting into their water.
