We play lots of paddle tennis in California. Whats's the difference between platform tennis and paddle tennis? Also, can you use the same paddles for each?

The major difference is Platform Tennis has screen surrounding the court which the ball can be played off....

They are too soft and thin faced, a heaver platform....
They are too soft and thin faced, a heaver platform tennis ball would break them very quickly - the "Padel" paddles are not recommended for Platform tennis.

I'm reasonably fit, run three times+ each week, also do fencing, and my favorite time to play tennis is sunny summer afternoons in August...
