Is there a way to make a PAL PS2 region free?

Unfortuately, I never owned a Japanese PS2 or modded my US PS2 I used to own.
There were two PS2 import games I would've loved to play, Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden Gaiden: Kagami with these games.

So you either need a Japanese PS2, or the means to bypass the region lock on the PS2, as well as Neo Geo Coliseum, KOF XI, and SNK vs Capcom SVC Chaos.
