Was pretty much the center of Playa so your hotel is probably near.

As dozens of restaurants & bars all within walking distance of most-resorts, then Playa del Carmen the people in Playa Del Carmen a bit friendlier than in Punta Cana .

Playa Del Carmen without a doubt! I agree with the Miami/ KeyI am all about Playa and have never had an interest in Cancun .
PDC for me.
And never looked back.

What types of whiskey and beer do they have at the Royal Playa del Carmen? Is there Crown Royal? Is there Budweiser or Budlight? Is there anywhere you can view the menus? Can you use floaties in the pool?

Yes there are floats in the pool for use they are available where you get your towels .
There IS Crown Royal yes but NO Bud..they do have coors light and of course the typical Mexican beer on tap as well .

If you are over the age of 20 then Playa.
A third vote for Playa.
Night time wise playa is actually better than Cancun IMHO due to the fact they have the same large in Cancun .

The Riu Palace Mexico is about a 20 yards to Playa del Carmen webcamsdemexico.com/webcam-playa-del-carmen.… The Gran Porto Real ....
Palace is only about 200 yards away from Playa del Carmen.
