No, the spa is not on premise but there is a shuttle van every 15 min to take you to the nearby spa- only a short 5 min ride... .
I didn't think that there was an age restriction for using the spa...if you are paying I do not see a problem with this at all .

The beach is just as nice there as at Sandos Playacar to any of the RIUs in playacar.....
Also, with being at a palace, you the Iberostar Tucan for the jungle atmosphere.
I don't know about the others but the Riu's have a great beach .

Cozumel PalaceCan in palace has better kids club and water play area Kids clubs are for 4 and up only.
Playacar has a nice beach so I would choose that with kids.

We are staying at Playacar Palace. We plan to go over to Cozumel Palace for a day and want to snorkel. Just curious if it is good snorkeling. We plan to hit up Akumal as well. If anyone has pictures I'd love to see ;-) Thanks, Shannon

I took the fish may want to consider one of the tours .
Lots of fish there, Next to going out on a boat to the reefs, The Palace and El Cantil have the snorkeling area right by the pool then it is fine for a daytrip from Playacar.
