Any of you guys interested in playing quake again? There are several free versions now and even a browser based version of quake 3 called quake live. If we can agree on a game, I'll host a server.

I'm trying to get Quake 1 to work windowed because the performance is awful when it's trying to work at 1600x1200. from what have read up the command to start up Quake windowed and at a set resolution means you have to enter in

You may have to turn off theoretically work without that update,... .
What version of quake are you using anyway, and where did you get it? You may want to try: quake -basedir /usr/nekoware/games/quake -window -height 768 -width 1024 .

Has there been any movement on iD's part to follow up with a new Quake game that stays true to the franchise and delivers the same multiplayer experience?
Seems like a no-brainer imo. Just slap on updated graphics and a gimmicky...

Anyone know where I could find some replays (if they exist) of the recent Quake Live Pro tournaments such as Intel Masters and Quakecon 2010?
PC specs: AMD Phenom II 829 Quad Core processor, 6GB DDR3 RAM, ATI Radeon 5750 1GB card, 600w power supply.
