ALTA Loan policy and buyer agency fee in California I found a short sale home and contacted the sellers agent to be my agent as well. I have in past put offers on short sale hoems and none of teh agents asked for ALTA loan policy or buyers agency fee....

I was advised that I need this to cover the loan with the bank.
The cost of the BLRI polcy was £15,000 over a five year...

Than 2.5, it's still an HPML...you just don't have to escrow .
