I want to make two different aloe vera topical "creams", one with potassium iodide and one with epsom salt (magnesium sulphate heptahydrate). The aloe vera gel is 99.9% but has the following additives: Acrylates/C10-30 Alkl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Panthenol...

Do you think there could be any chemical reaction.
Into a liquid, I've read the same happens with the iodide.
Moses made -MANNA- from the dead sea salt brine he got from the desert caravans to detox the Egyptian slaves from their eat everything diet...rabbi "jesus" made -MANNA- from the dead sea salt brine to detox the 12 from their eat everything diet and they...

Correction > that's potassium iodide KI crystals...potassium iodide SSKI is when you mix KI with water it becomes SSKI...the potassium iodide KI crystals are what Moses made that looked like white Crystals....
Potassium Iodide (KI) What is Potassium Iodide (KI)? Potassium iodide (also called KI) is a salt of stable (not radioactive) iodine. Stable iodine is an important chemical needed by the body to make thyroid hormones. Most of the stable iodine in our bodies...

In a iodide aqua solution of a monovalent metal a solution of AgNO 3 is added until the separation of the AgI precipitate stopped. Mass of the obtained AgI is equal to the mass of the whole iodine solution. What was the mass share of AgNO 3 in its solution...

I can calculate concentration of iodide, but no idea how to calculate concentration it it states "mass ....
This is unrealistic, as it yields iodide concentration in the range of 50%, sodium and potassium iodides the problem.
Hi all, I want to dose Potassium to keep the levels in the tank correct. The test kits out there are not the most user friendly and in my opinion not to accurate. Obviously there is a risk to over dose anything, is Potassium lethal if slightly over dosed...

When you notice some....
My one orange monti got one less thing to buy. .
I want to keep the Pots still have nice color Ah! ok eventually you will need potassium then ..
A deficiency of potassium? No cause I have a daily water changing system.
My wife has been taking 50mg / day of Lodoral, potassium iodine supplement. Today she had her blood tested and the doctor is urgently warning her to stop doing whatever is elevating her potassium level. Apparently 1-5 units is acceptable and she is at...

Calls Iodoral a "High Potency Iodine/Potassium Iodide Supplement," and the label itself says the same mg iodide as the potassium salt." I won't go into the facts (or lack thereof) regarding Iodoral this with her Doctor.
I have seen article mentioning these three elements. Personally I never cared too much about them, and infact i don't have any test kits that measure them. My salt, ESV, replenishes minor trace elements. Potassium, iodine and strontium are part of those...

My bad Hanna also has a potassium....
Sorry I read potassium as phosphate..
Get a Hanna Checker..Worst Investing IMO.
Potassium test can be off by a lot, and the iron test always reads 0 except within 2 hours of dosing.
The iodine test is ok.
Would the rate of a precipitation reaction between potassium iodide and lead (II) nitrate solutions be increased by a catalyst? I sort of think not, as they are nearly instantaneous anyway and not subject to the orientation of collisions that covalent...

Please can some help me with this. I'm studying SN2 and SN1 reaction and the concept of nucleophile and leaving group confused me. in my text book(organic chemistry written by John Mcmurry),it says that the nucleophilicity of Iodide is stronger than Chloride...

The iodide is a strong nucleophile and can substitute for the chloride....
Of iodide ion (usually as sodium or potassium iodide) may allow you to drive the reaction to the substitution product or give you faster reaction rates.
When conducting the experiment 1cm³ of chlorine water is added to 1cm³ of potassium iodide and 1cm³ of hexane is add then. suppose the displacement occurs and give a upper purple layer and lower orange layer. but what during the experiment get is 2 layer...

Theoretically the reaction.
Chlorine water Cl2 is mixed with potassium iodide KI.
On observations.
