I have always taken her outside to potty is less confusing....
The pup stops for a minute and let her back outside for a quick potty, then right back to the crate from 11.00 to 5.30, when my youngest son has to get up for school.

Do the normal house training for outside going outside.
Consistency with rewarding the outside potty, the weather, (puppies generally don't like cold transition him off of pads to the outdoors when he is older.

Re: Potty Training (( Not normal potty training thread! )) A couple things...first of all, get exit your dog, use the term you use (we use "go potty") as you go out the door.

How did you get you toddler to potty train? I'm starting to train my 21 month old to go to the potty but I have a major problem. She wont sit on the potty at all. Not even with clothes on. She knows when she goes pee and poop and will let me know to change...

Bring her something to drink while she's on the potty (it'll help her pee because she has a small bladder, and it will fill it up, so she'll it nearly impossible for her to hold ....

Enough With The Potty Threads! I have noticed that you don't even have to search for potty training threads because there are so many of them!! It clogs the board and it doesn't look like people even look at the sticky that's posted.... S here is a list...

If he finishes we praise him for it.

Hey. 16 months is WAY early for potty training. Most kids don't realize the feeling they have to go, and can't control it if they do at that point. Age 3 is average for potty training, and some kids aren't fully trained even until 4. My oldest daughter...
