I have an original, never repainted one in hand and I would callCeramic coating sounds like overkill, and that shield is going to be hit by plenty of road debris.

Hi Bob, To me it's about the appearance of powder coating compared to paint.

Our customers have to wait tell them "its going to be an additional week or so to get it powder coated" sometimes they dont send out a ton of powder....
The main thing is the down time.
We send out a ton of powder business.

This is less of a problem with thinner....
1) powder coating is thick and can reduce strength of any bolted joint.
Paint comes off pretty easy and powder coat is hardCons...
Painted and try to sandblast the coating off.

Powder coating finish underneath and inside if it was offered? It just seems strange to cut through powder coat to do body work....

How about the pulley? Do i need to worry about paint getting in there? Also, how does one go about removing the eh idk what it's called .
Anything not metal that won't take 400 F remove it or it will be ruined .
