I dropped off the rear valence on my 308 for blasting and powder coating.
The tradeoffs per the guy i was talking with:
Powder Coating: Good to 300 degrees
High Temp Powder coating: Good to 1000 degrees but it has a texture
Ceramic: Good for super high...

I have an original, never repainted one in hand and I would callCeramic coating sounds like overkill, and that shield is going to be hit by plenty of road debris.

Our customers have to wait tell them "its going to be an additional week or so to get it powder coated" sometimes they dont send out a ton of powder....
The main thing is the down time.
We send out a ton of powder business.

This is less of a problem with thinner....
1) powder coating is thick and can reduce strength of any bolted joint.
Paint comes off pretty easy and powder coat is hardCons...

Anyone else see the Muscle Car program on Spike-TV where they powder coated the entire car? The PC was used as a primer for the paint work. I don't know the details, and there is nothing about it on the vendor's website.

Talked to Liquid Powder Coating today, they said to remove anything from the supercharger that cannot be powder coated or that cannot withstand 400* F.
Now my question is, what should I remove?
Obviously I need to drain the nose drive oil. What else should...

Anything not metal that won't take 400 F remove it or it will be ruined .
