Power Antenna
My power antenna has quit. Feels more like the lower section broke from the motor. Motor still runs but antenna will not lower or raise. I can raise it all the way up by hand but it will only go down about 1/2 way by hand.

Long story short some of my radio stations don't come in as clearly as I would like except at night. I was wondering like cb radios you can get more powerful antenna's. (basically longer wrapped tighter or something)
Is this possible with our platforms...

You can get boosters, never tried one myself but there are some of them used to carry them .
Don't know if the Magnum has the antenna in the rear window or not but when you tint the windows it cuts the range of the antenna.

I am in the process of locating a source for replacement masts for the 1961-64 power antenna on my Olds cars.
Other GM cars used the same antenna but I don't participate on their forums

The only use of the power antenna is to raise and lower the mast the power to the antenna motor I should still get normal radio reception as the mast should still be sending the power to ....
