You'll need to get in the old adapter tip, you'll have an easier time of it .

Disregard my last post, you will need to replace that power supply if indeed it actually is going bad into the air ports to clear any ....
If the power brick is going bad you can visit Accessories to purchase a new one from Microsoft.
