Hey there, i want to get a real tight metal tone for power metal (Like Stratovarius, Rhapsody of fire, Sonata arctica..), thing is i cant get it from my gear yet. Been trying to for a while but it seems to be 'missing something'.

Currently using a amp from a company called Peters! The Savage 120 is basically... .
BIG +1 on the E530 experience, the Engl Savage makes great power metal tones.
If all else fails, JCM 800 with boost.
The E530 will slay at power metal.

What was the song that introduced you to the power metal genre, if you can even remember what it was? For me, it was "Emerald Sword" by Rhapsody of Fire. About seven years ago, during my freshman year of high school, I was looking at a friend's MySpace...

Those records Power Metal, but they were really powerful.
