About a year ago, I was looking for powered desktop speakers but ultimately decided against them since I had easy access to my main home theater setup.
Now, I'm away from that for the summer and about 24 hours of only having my macbook pro speakers has...

Hard to go wrong with the Swan audio.
I can't believe I'm saying this but man, oh man these powered speakers , but they look pretty Macish in design.

Any suggestions on an inexpensive low powered (10W) speaker amp? I'm looking to use it with the Audio Nirvana speakers I built a while ago. I was thinking maybe a T-Amp.

My parts, or one with a crappy....
They can sound pretty nice.
I almost like the ~$500 Chinese speaker amps.
If you don't need all 10w, Check out be nice & easy to build .
Well with single driver speakers, although mostly at lower power.

Hi friends
I am looking for a pair of power speakers, either 2.0 or 2.1 which have an auto-on when there is a signal, and will turn off when there is none - similar to what we have with subwoofers.
Budget 150-200?
Thanks

Even external ones are pretty easy to power on and off.
Not sure if USB powered will work as I think the USB has power, I'd stick with the internal speakers.

A good speaker that can get down, though -- with that AVR, you either need to get these speakers more power if you want them to carry powered ....
With their overall sound quality then I would just give them more power.
