You know how sometimes you want the duration of two notes to occupy a certain time, perhaps 1/16th note.
So one way to do it is to make the first note a 32nd or something but what you really want is to just have the first note not have a time signature...

Thanks for your responses, and another victory for PowerTab.
Editor, the menu button for this is the small eighth note with a slash through it (next to the 9 inside, the grace note fit in fine.

I don't see a Visual Studio plugin for it (although I didn't look that hard, so I might have missed it), and searches turn up random third-party solutions, but is there something that comes with PowerShell or something that plugs into Visual Studio?

With the PowerTab snapin from /\/\O\/\/, I have as good intellisense as I have found in any IDE as a script editor - the....
PSH v2 also line.
The script editor has syntax highlighting which is very helpful.
And edit and run scripts.

Not his picking fingers! Correctamundo Rhods, download powertab editor (search on google), then go with some tutorials and powertab editor is a must because there's always particular songs you want, download powertab....
