I thought I was going to pick up a yamaha mx1000 , the sound was not there for me ! I want to get a power amp that will redefine music all over again ! I need real opinions to help me find the right gear . Also in your opinion what pre amp to pick ? Thanx...

I currently have the following setup: B&W 685 Speakers Face Audio F700TS (Pro Amp) - 450w - 8ohms (Plan to swap the fans to something quieter) ... but it's not that bad. A few questions: 1. Is my amp going to eventually destroy my speakers? Or is it better...

I use rack separates, any issues in using a pre to power cable 6' long? It's the only 1/4" male to 1/4" male cable Radio Shack had in stock. (Don't worry, it's not an instrument cable.)

The pre-amp out is a relatively low level signal and the cable needs reduce the possibility of picking up noise.
It should be an instrument cable.

The A5 will be a better visual match but i'm not sure how integrated and thought it was an amazing amp! yes arcam boy it seems a gd match for the a5 pre.

Inputs of a power amp without an intervening pre-amp, I'd be worried about overloading those inputs Denon, you are still using the pre-amp of the Denon.
