For those going into radiation oncology, does it matter how / where you do you PGY-1? (e.g. preliminary med, preliminary surg, transitional year; and type of institution, e.g. community hospital, school with a well known name)

Overall, it is tough compared to the medicine internship encourage people to....
I think if you find a good one it can be okay and probably not "worse" than a prelim medicine rotations and is going to do a prelim surgery.

I was wondering what books all you fourth years are looking at to help you out during internship. I will be doing a prelim-med year and am looking to invest 30-50 bucks for a good pocket book. Please post what books you like and the reasons why.
