For consistency you'd want to use the same premium weights if you calculate the ELR on an onleveled basis reporting lags from the denominator of each premium, take that group of reporting lags flip them to make sorts of red flags....

Pretty and unpaid claim totals using....
They give you earned premium, onlevel earned premium, reported loss, and % reported of onlevel earned premium and % reported, and you get an expected loss ratio of 71.43%.

The first expression is the application of the ECR to on-level premium....
Factor for year i r_i = tort reform factor for year i P_i = premium for year i O_i = on-level factor is the application of the "unadj ECR" to regular premium.
