So I am 34.5 weeks preg. and have been having a lot of contractions. I am all about natural remedies and don't think I would go to L&D to stop labor- I'd try at home and if nothing helped let nature do its thing.
any one have any experience with this?...

Im almost 34 weeks, I want to know if you went into preterm labor were the contractions painfull????,im scared that ill go into labor at home without having a warning,i had 2 full term babies,and so far the contractions I get now have been a lil painfull...

Nurses looked at me.
Both times i went into preterm labor i felt no pain.
When I went into preterm labor mine was reallu bad period to the OR they really hurt a lot.
It was a pretty unusual occurance, though, so IDK.

My doctor said that that DS pregnancies are similar to twin pregnancies in that both have a risk of preterm labor and they're not really sure why.
Anyone heard/have any theories? I've heard this from more than one doctor. Obviously it's not a guarantee...

Great- I have a double whammy to be concerned, not preterm labor....
My child with Ds (4th child) actually made I was at a greater "increased risk" of preterm labor.
A history of preterm labor with two other pregnancies.

I was on bedrest my whole pregnancy.i only had preterm labor @ 32 weeks,34 alone.

I watched the Biggest Loser last night, and one of the contestant was sharing about his 1st child his wife went into preterm labor at 6months and they lost the baby. I cried! I don't want that to happen to me.

Most preterm labor is completely random and no cause diet(dehydration can cause preterm contraction), and always discuss unusual issues with your doctor.
Especially signs of possible infections.

I know I should have asked the doctor when she discharged me, but I think I was so exhausted and overwhelmed that I couldn't even think straight at that point. I'll definitely ask my doctor when I see her on Monday, but that seems a long way away right...

BUT, some people hold on and go full term.
Obviously its a way bigger possibility than "normal" people, since I'm having preterm contractions.
They can never know for sure if I'll have a preterm baby.

I was told if they were getting regular and I was feeling any pain I was to go right in because these contractions can bring on full blown labor.
